After PoA and especially HBP, I try to avoid movie spoilers - I want to enjoy the last two parts of movie!HP, not spend the whole film, like last time, fighting off a vague feeling that I've seen it before.
But I just rewatched the 1985 movie of A Room With a View, notable for featuring sun-drenched images of Florence and Helena Bonham Carter in her first starring role at the tender age of 19 (and sounding disconcertingly Hermione-ish).
And as reaching for IMDB after seeing a movie is starting to be a compulsion, I couldn't resist a visit to Ms Bonham Carter's page. Where there was a tiny thumbnail of something looking remarkably like the Malfoy's dining room. That, I couldn't resist.
Am now strenuously resisting the temptation to look for more.
I am intrigued by the picture, though - seems that the Malfoys have very elaborate chairs and a remarkably rough-looking table. Which I would have assumed might imply that they're going for the medieval manor look, except that I have no faith in WB to be culturally coherent.
