Full marks to JKR for timing her announcement so the release date was revealed on the Winter Solstice! And for having such lovely candles on her Christmas tree. :)
So, it's a year and a half since OotP. It doesn't seem that long since I was wondering whether I'd ever fully assimilate the new canon, before one day I realised that every fic I read seemed to mention Bella or Tonks or rest on the knowledge that Sirius' family was Dark. And now I'm realising that a whole two years (minus 2 or 3 weeks) have passed since I was feeling this excitement about the announcement of the OotP release. It doesn't seem like two years. That's down to you wonderful people: don't they say that time flies when you're enjoying yourself?
In one respect, a new book strikes fear into the heart of anyone with a WIP. One year ago I was struggling with Invictus 8/9. Output this last year has been slow. If I were to finish it before HBP-day it would mean writing two chapters a month... oh, I wish.
But I can't believe how wonderful the timing is for Accio 2005. Two weeks to read and reflect on the new book - and then two days with a crowd of Potter fans. Methinks finding things to talk about isn't going to be a problem...

HBP... Accio... Movie!GoF... 2005 is going to be a good year. :)
