Sibling Rivalry
Bellatrix nudged Narcissa, pointing across the common room. “Look at Malfoy posing! I don’t know how you can stand him.”

“He is not posing!”

“Yes he is! He thinks he’s God’s gift to wizardkind!”

“You’re just jealous because he’s not fawning over you!”

“Oh really?”

Bellatrix stalked over to the fire, where Lucius was holding court from the largest of the carved Slytherin chairs. Narcissa couldn’t hear her sister’s words, but the answering flash in her boyfriend’s eyes found its twisted mark in her own heart.

Whatever Narcissa wanted, Bella took. She always had.

But this time would be different.
