Not that I've written much over the last few years, but I've accumulated a number of stories I've not archived, and one or two that I've not even posted.
FictionAlley feels a bit... historical, these days. They don't seem to have updated their system for years, the old web address links to their blog not the main site page, messages on the upload section of the site are dated 2007. For completeness, I'll probably continue to post there, but am thinking I should also back up elsewhere.
Do you archive? And if so, where? Do you think people tend to hang around specialist archives these days, or more general ones like AO3, or that most reading is done on LJ and the archives are just storage?
Where would you recommend for somewhere safe (as safe as it gets these days) and relatively easy to use?
And if AO3 is the best - pls does anyone have an invite code I could use? Thank-you
alchemine!
