And here's the reason I didn't manage to post Invictus 17 before the year turned.
To Unstopper Time (Snape, Lily, Harry, PG-13, AU)
I love FictionAlley's queue bypass system! Gone are the days of uploading and waiting and waiting and waiting.

kennahijja will remember my incredulity at receiving the following prompt:
WISHES TO RECEIVE: Prefer Snape and Harry gen, especially mentorship
or father/son relationship, but any of the above characters are good,
too. I like stories told backwards or in unusual order, flipped
clichés, Slytherin plots or motives, post-war, plotty fics, time
travel, hurt/comfort, post-Hogwarts, hopeful endings, AU (not
non-magic AU, please)
WOULD NOT LIKE TO RECEIVE: the Malfoys, minor characters, Ginny
Weasley, Fleur, the children mentioned in the epilogue. I don't like
fluff or crack, magical creatures other than Remus, magic as deus ex
machina, suicide/self-harm/unrelenting angst, excessive abuse,
character bashing, OOC, crossovers. I'm okay with DH, but prefer to
ignore the epilogue.
Look at that list of 'would not like to receive': do any of my existing fics not fall into one of these categories? ;) Still, that's why they call it a challenge, right? And, having finally learned Severus' motivation and found it was something I could identify with to some extent, I was glad of the opportunity to explore it, even if I did have to tell Lucius and Draco to keep away from places where they would naturally have been at home.
From here on in, though, my limited writing resources will be devoted to my own muses. And if I want to write a Christmas fic, I'll write my own.
Now I must get round to uploading the fic I wrote for the 2006 fest.
