28 Reasons That 'Twilight' the Movie Is Better Than 'Twilight' the Book (slideshow)
My favourite: When Edward explains to Bella that he can read thoughts, he points around the restaurant and tells her what everyone's thinking about: "Money ... sex ... sex ... money ... cat."
So I wasn't just imagining that line. :)
Robert Pattinson on Edward:
"When you read the book, it's like, 'Edward Cullen was so beautiful I creamed myself.' I mean, every line is like that. He's the most ridiculous person who's so amazing at everything. I think a lot of actors tried to play that aspect. I just couldn't do that. And the more I read the script, the more I hated this guy, so that's how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself. Plus, he's a 108-year-old virgin so he's obviously got some issues there."
Robert Pattinson on Twilight:
"I was convinced... that Stephenie was convinced... that she was Bella... and it was like a book that wasn't supposed to be published. And you're reading like, her sort of sexual fantasy. [...] I was like, This woman is mad. She's completely mad, and she's in love with her own fictional creation. And sometimes you'd like feel uncomfortable reading this thing. [...] It's kind of... like a sick pleasure."
I'm beginning to like this guy.
(Not to mention that with the hair and without the vampire makeup he looks rather like someone I once fell in love with... though I'm not so keen on his new short-haired look.)
And speaking of makeup - these vampires must have had a pretty easy time in the early 80s. No need for camouflage when the world is trying to look like you.
