Hiatus

Ever tried to type with a cat lying across your wrists and the keyboard pushed back under the surface of the desk (to stop said cat 'helping' to type)?

My touch typing isn't as good as I thought it was...


Anyhow, as of tomorrow I'm going away for a couple of weeks, so although I'm hoping to be able to log in a couple of times while I'm away, I may be quieter than usual. I feel I've been going downhill for the last week or two, so I'm looking forward to spending time with my family in sunnier climes.

The 'low'-ness was temporarily dispelled by the presence of _lady_narcissa_ and lyndabyrd with whom I got to do lovely touristy things like popping into the Queen's local palace (which I walk past regularly but have never ventured into), almost being blown away from the castle courtyard, and wandering in and out of tartan tourist shops in search of a dog coat (nae luck, unfortunately, though I have a mission to check out the local pet shop next time I'm near during opening hours).

In return they got to do non-touristy things like picking their way across my paper-and-book-strewn living room and seeing how many different poses _lady_narcissa_ could adopt with my snake-headed cane. I'm looking forward to seeing any icons that result from that little photo-session!

So, if _lady_narcissa_ and lyndabyrd are reading this before the end of the week, I hope the rest of your holiday is scenic, sunny and scone-ful - I look forward to hearing about it. And thanks for a great weekend - I missed you today. :)
