Does anyone know what time the horse-drawn coaches are due at Edinburgh Castle tonight? I'd kind of like to go and see what's happening up there (well, as close as we can get, anyhow), especially as it's looking likely that I'll no longer be in Edinburgh for the launch of Book 7.
I've persuaded a friend to come with me tonight, which is an improvement on last time. I don't think she's read the books, though, so goodness knows what she'll make of it. Next time, I really, really want to spend the evening with other fans.
I've been to the supermarket and stocked up on ready-meals, fresh bread, milk (so I can treat myself to a cup of hot chocolate when I get back in) and chocolate cornflake 'cake' (heck, might as well take this childhood regression thing all the way!).
And I did have a peek at the back-cover-with-text - after all, I'm going to see the text as soon as I pick up the book, and a back cover blurb shouldn't reveal any crucial plot points. And oooh, it's tantalising. I'm [finally] getting excited now. :))
I'm avoiding the first chapter that I've seen a few people refer to, though. I've waited this long, I can wait another eight hours so I can enjoy just immersing myself in it.
Yes, I can wait.
Not that I know where to find the first chapter anyhow. (And NO, please don't tell me! ;)
