I just got back from a pleasant (if somewhat slippery) three day walk. It was going to be four, but the weather wasn't great and my legs were starting to ache and the nice man at the youth hostel said that the place I was going to do today would be very crowded. And there were things i wanted to get on with at home.
So what's that first thing I do when I get back? Log on of course, sad person that I am (and somewhat eager to see if Invictus16 is up yet - it isn't, but my corrected chapters are, with two copies of all the author's notes as the FA story management board had said to put them in the file. Gah - now I have to upload again, but at least the story text is readable now).
Anyhow, I saw the link to TLC's quiz, and couldn't resist.
That feels fair to me (though I'm gnashing my teeth at the ambiguity of 'Who caused Sirius' death?')
Two conclusions from this:
1) I found it easier to remember details that have some logical bearing on the story. E.g. the question about the Potion that Snape was teaching is on one level a trivial detail, but it stuck in my mind because I remember thinking that Umbridge wouldn't want the students to be learning something that could potentially make them more of a threat to the Ministry. Other questions left me thinking, 'Why would anyone want to remember that?'... but perhaps they wouldn't seem so obscure to others?
And I don't understand why the question about Amelia Bones was a level-three question - what other answer could there possibly be?
2) I really haven't imbibed HBP-canon as well as I could have!
